Hospital Stay is Unhealthy
Yesterday, my brother-in-law told me that the sagging U.S. economy was affecting a part of the working class that I would never expect; rent-a-cops working at funeral processions!
It seems that my brother-in-law’s best friend has enjoyed consistent
employment as a motorcycle policeman escorting funeral processions.
Suddenly, in the last few month’s , he is barely working. Why? Because…less people are dying right now! Now, this was something I didn’t expect to hear. I know we are in bad shape economically in this country but; less people dying? WHY?…Then it dawned on me.
I remembered what a friend had told me a couple of months ago. She was working as an admitting nurse at St. John’s Hospital in Oxnard. she told me that she was worried about keeping her job because admissions to the hospital were way down. It seem’s that very few people were going to the hospital for any procedures that would involve any out of pocket expenses. It was all starting to make sense. Less people are being hospitalized, so, less people are dying!!
An article in the Parade Magazine on February 8, 2009 titled “Don’t Let A Hospital Make You Sick” revealed that 98,000 Americans die each year due to medical mistakes.
I’ve been telling people for years that the hospital is no place for a person to be if they can at all help it! !This article seem’s to be supporting my assumption.
Actually, my belief is not just an assumption; it is based on fact. In March of 2000 Israeli Medical doctors went on stike, the result? Fewer people died! It’s true, according to Jeruselem’s Kehilat Yerushalayim burial society, they buried less people less people!* This study was done in Israel, but, it seems that the same thing is happerning here and now.The bottom line is this…unless you have a life threatening illness I would do all you can to avoid a hospital stay.
My life’s work has been and always will be to keep people away from taking toxic medications, cortisone injections and risky unnecessary surgeries. If you are having low back pain and have been told you need surgery, it is vital that you come in for a free consultation and see if non-surgical spinal decompression with the amazing DRX9000 can save you from entering a hospital!
Well, I hope my brother-in-law’s friend; the rent-a-cop can find work. But he may have to consider a diiferent job! Keep out of the hospital!
Yours for health, always naturally,
